About the event

A powerful story can help us see the strength that grows through community, love, and compassion.

Nancy Van Dorp will be the featured speaker at the CFUW Milton meeting on November 5th at 7:30 pm in Hugh Foster Hall. November is Women's Abuse Prevention Month, and Nancy will share her very personal story of her daughter - a victim of an acid attack in 2023.

Her message is the power of resilience in the face of unimaginable abuse; surviving and thriving; the healing power of community; love and compassion conquer all.

Nancy is also speaking at Burn Survivor Day on Saturday, October 24, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Toronto Fire Academy, 895 Eastern Avenue. Admission and parking are free.
